The 2956-20 is sold as a bare tool (Tool Only). It does not include an M18 battery pack. However, it does come equipped with an integrated 120V AC power cord. This allows you to plug it directly into a standard wall outlet or extension cord to run the radio indefinitely while charging any M18 battery you place inside the dock.
+ Does this radio charge M18 batteries while it is running on cordless battery power?
No, the built-in charger only activates when the radio is plugged into a 120V AC wall outlet. When the radio is unplugged from the wall, it draws power directly from the inserted M18 battery to play music. It cannot recharge a battery using its own cordless power.
+ What is the difference between this model and the older 2950-20 PACKOUT radio?
The 2956-20 updates the ecosystem with upgraded Bluetooth 5.3 technology for a massive 200-foot wireless range (compared to 100 feet on older models) and replaces older USB-A ports with a high-current 3.0A USB-C fast-charging port. It also integrates Milwaukee's new AUDIO-LINK technology, allowing it to daisy-chain with newer M12 and M18 linkable speakers.
