Featured Product: Dewalt DCN890 20V Cordless Concrete Nailer

Dewalt produces impressive and contractor-grade performing cordless power tools, so we weren't surprised when we loved their recent product. Dewalt partnered with Powers Fastening and introduced a new 20V cordless concrete and steel nailer: the DCN890 (on sale for April 2018!).

It differentiates itself by removing the need for gas fuel and powder loads, thus, eliminating the costs to regularly replace these sources, as well as fumes and the need to store cartridges. Goodbye powder actuated and gas concrete nailers, hello more convenient, rechargeable batteries! Plus, if you already use 20V batteries on your other Dewalt power tools, it's extremely quick and easy to switch the battery from one tool to another.

It uses a brushless electric motor which lengthens runtime. You can expect up to 600 nails per full charge of the DCB205 20V 5.0 ah lithium ion battery. Also, work in dimly lit areas safely with the two on board LED lights attached to the nailer. It has comparable speed to gas concrete nailers, features tool-free jam clearing, and boasts a high 33 magazine capacity.

This concrete nailer is highly capable of taking on both large and small projects, with the ability to drive 1/2" to 2 1/4" concrete pins. Use it for mechanical, electrical, plumbing, drywall, and insulation/surface prep applications and more! Features three adjustable power settings (see image above) that allow it to handle hollow block, concrete, and steel! The variable power settings allow for pin depth adjustment and surface versatility. It uses a flywheel based design making it quieter, use minimal reset time between shots, better performance, and have comparative recoil levels.

It comes in a kit, DCN890P2 (click here), with the DCN890 20V MAX* Cordless Concrete Nailer, two DCB205 batteries, a DCB115 charger, a DCN8904 Standard/Drywall Contact trip, and a carrying case as shown in the photo above. The DCN890 is serviceable in the field. According to Dewalt, the driver can be replaced in just under two minutes by the user. It's the only cordless concrete nailer on the market with a field-serviceable driver blade, reducing downtime of tool. Clear the odd jam with the strategically placed tool-free access points.

The DCN890 uses compatible Dewalt Nailer pins specially made for this nailer. There are also other accessories available like various contact trips and a pole tool to use the nailer on hard to reach, high surfaces.
