Metacaulk® 1200 – Fire-Rated Joint Sealant

Metacaulk 1200 is a single-component, general-purpose, fire-rated sealant designed for use in construction joints. Upon curing, it forms a durable, elastomeric membrane that accommodates dynamic joint movement. Metacaulk 1200 effectively prevents the passage of flames, smoke, hot gases, and water through joint openings, enhancing the fire resistance and overall safety of the structure.

Features:

• Fire-Rated Performance:

  • Rated for up to 4 hours in accordance with ASTM E1966 / UL 2079 (Fire Resistance of Building Joint Systems)

  • Successfully cycled 500 times, meeting ASTM E1399 requirements

  • Tested to ASTM E814 / UL 1479 for systems rated up to 3 hours

• Mold-Resistant:

  • Formulated with a combination of biocides to resist mold growth in both wet and dry stages
