The Knipex BiX is designed to cut unreinforced plastic pipes (such as high-temperature sewage pipes and electrical conduits) with diameters from 20 to 50 mm (approx. 3/4" to 2") and wall thicknesses up to 2.4 mm. It can also cut soft plastic sealing sleeves between 20 and 50 mm.
+ How does the BiX cut sealing sleeves close to the wall?
This tool features a unique reversible blade block. When positioned for sealing sleeves, it can cut them just 2-3 mm away from the wall (in accordance with standard requirements), protecting the wall from damage while ensuring a perfect, leak-proof finish.
+ Does the BiX create swarf (plastic shavings) during the cut?
No. Unlike a saw, the BiX uses a surgical-grade blade to slice through the material cleanly. This eliminates swarf entirely, keeping the job site clean and preventing plastic shavings from clogging drains or entering the plumbing system.
