The strength and durability of XR Molded Wheel make it a perfec match for deburring, blending and finishing, and – when run according to recommended operating speeds – it won't heat up too quickly. For these reasons, it may be used on heat-sensitive metals like stainless steel. Additionally, its strength and durability minimize splintering or fraying when the wheel deburrs edges. Better edge retention and smoother running helps reduce operator fatigue and tackle tough areas. This mineral makes a tough, durable abrasive that self-fractures to expose fresh cutting edges, whereas traditional natural abrasives dull more quickly. Aluminum oxide is suitable for a variety of materials in both woodworking and metalworking, including ferrous alloys.
