The 3M Cubitron II Cut-off Wheels with 3M PSG are engineered to cut fast then competitive ceramic products offering significant productivity gains. Metalworking professionals value its fast cutting action on heat-sensitive metals and its abrasive cutting wheel efficiency, yielding 2 to 7x more cuts than conventional cut-off wheels in many cases.
Long lasting without loss of performance, these cut-off wheels efficiently cut the toughest metal giving better control while operating. The rigid, reinforced resin-bonded cut-off wheel features 3M Precision Shaped Grain. When comparing with traditional aluminum oxide, zirconia, or ceramic grain, 3M Cubitron II Abrasives cut faster and last significantly longer. They require less pressure and less effort on the part of the operator to do the work, meaning less wear and tear on the operator and cooler cutting action reduces the risk of heat-related stress and thermal damage. With 3M Precision Shaped Grain technology allows the engineers to control the geometry of the abrasive grain for a truly fast, efficient cut. Instead of simply crushing the abrasive into particles, 3M uses microreplication to uniformly size ceramic grains and precisely shape them into triangular structures- essentially, sharp peats that slice, not plow, through paint and metal These grains are electrostatically oriented on the abrasive surface for the most efficient cut and even wear.
